The Basic Rider Course is geared toward the novice motorcyclist, but it will also provide an excellent skills update to the returning or experienced motorcyclist. It contains on-bike and classroom instruction, including 4 units of RiderCoach led classroom discussion and 17 on-the-bike training exercises. Participants must pass a written test and an on-bike skills evaluation. Actual hours of instruction will vary, up or down, depending upon class size, weather conditions, and the makeup of the class participants. We provide the motorcycles. Cost is $215.

Classes marked for women only have female instructors scheduled to teach them. Join the fun!

Premium BRC - The Premium Basic Rider Course is designed for the novice rider who wants to get the most out of his or her training experience. The riding portion of the course is significantly longer than the BRC, while the classroom includes more activities and a group riding segment, requiring the addition of another training day to the BRC. We provide the motorcycles. Cost is $295.

Remediation BRC - this is for those who need help with specific problems, or for students who were unable to complete the riding portion of their class. We provide the motorcycle.

Additional Riding BRC - this is for students who have completed the BRC, whether passing skill test or not. Provides additional riding instruction (approximately 4 to 5 hours) using selected range activities from the BRC. Students who did not pass their skill test during their original BRC may earn their completion certificate if they take this course within 30 days of their original BRC and pass the skill test at the end of the Additional Riding BRC. We provide the motorcycles. Cost is $125.

Extended BRC - this is for students who need or want more intense instruction. A private class is an Extended BRC. The regular BRC may have up to 6 students per instructor, where this one has a maximum ratio of 3 students per instructor, with a maximum class size of 6. These smaller classes offer more individualized attention and the student gets more practice time with the same amount of clock time. We provide the motorcycles. Cost is determined by number of students: 1 student = $800, 2 students = $600 per student, 3 through 6 students = $400 per student.

Experienced Rider Course - Even if you've been riding for some time, there's always something left to learn.  Increasing numbers of seasoned riders are flocking to the  Experienced Rider Course to hone their skills and fine-tune the mental drills needed for survival in traffic. Using your own motorcycle, you'll put into practice the techniques of managing traction, stopping quickly, limited space maneuvers, cornering and swerving.  Statistics show that these skills are measurably absent in the experienced rider.
You'll discuss with your peers how to balance the mental and physical aspects of safe riding, manage risks, increase visibility and optimize your lane positioning.  The Experienced Rider Course also covers protective gear, rider responsibility, motorcycle inspection and care, and the effects of alcohol and other drugs on riding.
This class is open to riders AND their passengers (2-up). Cost is $130 per rider, and the ride may include his or her passenger for free (riders must sign up their passengers in advance).

New!  Advanced Rider Course This course is open to all types of motorcycles. Riders will enhance skills to improve cornering, swerving, and braking techniques, as well as develop additional expertise in the areas of risk management, decision-making, riding strategies, and rider behavior. The Advanced Rider Course is for experienced motorcyclists who want to enhance their skills and get the most out of their ride. Using techniques developed by sportbike riders on and off the track, riders learn how to maximize their turning abilities, how to stop as well as their machines can manage, and how to swerve around that large object in their way. Although this course is based on techniques developed by the sport riding and racing community, the techniques and enhanced skill development will help riders improve their skills no matter what type of motorcycle they ride. The course lasts approximately 8 hours. The Advanced Rider Course is open to riders only (no passengers). Riders must bring their own bike. Cost is $175.

The ERC and ARC students are required to use their own bikes. Bikes must be properly registered and insured, and owners must have proof of insurance, ownership, and registration on their person when arriving for the class. Motorcycles must be able to pass a basic safety inspection per the recommendations of the manufacturer. Motorcycles MUST be equipped with motorcycle tires, no exceptions. Riders must be properly licensed and must present a current license with a motorcycle endorsement.
